Documentation and references

This page brings together references that can be checked and explains their scope. An appearance in a publication or participation in an event does not constitute an institutional endorsement, approval or recommendation.

Historical reference in Tráfico magazine

Issue 235 of Tráfico y Seguridad Vial, published by Spain's Directorate-General for Traffic in 2016, included the short article «El informe médico, en el casco». It described an earlier Siempre Contigo project involving a label for motorcycle and bicycle helmets.

This publication confirms a journalistic mention of that earlier project. It does not constitute a formal DGT endorsement or recommendation and does not certify the features of the bracelets currently manufactured.

How the current model works

Current production uses one passive NFC chip. The chip contains the link to the associated web profile. A compatible NFC phone and an internet connection are required to open that profile.

  • Reading the chip does not automatically call 112 or the listed contacts.
  • The bracelet does not include GPS location tracking.
  • The visible content depends on the information maintained by the user in the profile.
  • Physical specifications must be checked on each model's product page.

Our standard for publishing recognitions

We will only describe an organisation as an endorser when an official document identifies the organisation, product or model, date and scope of the recognition. Participation in conferences, exhibitions or publications will be described as such and linked to a source when available.
